The secret of Lala’s beau has been a plot point for almost as long as we’ve seen her on the show. Through insinuations of prostitution to being a homewrecker, Lala held strong in keeping his information a closely guarded enigma.
If I had to guess his divorce was finalized.
Her mystery man turned out to be film and tv producer Randall Emmett. At 47, he’s a full 19 years her senior. He supposedly rose through the Hollywood ranks, starting as a producer for Mark Wahlberg, and later becoming producer to the likes of Martin Scorsese, 50 Cent, and John Travolta.
And he has a type.
His divorce from actress Ambyr Childers was finalized in December 2017. She is 29 (a whole year older than Lala), blonde, and apparently makes poor decisions. She had her first child with Emmett at 21 back in 2010. He would have been around 38…
His instagram is a mix of awkward photos of him with celebrities, videos every tuesday of him screaming random encouragement at the camera, and normal dad photos of his kids…
Lala seemingly begins to appear in posts around December 31, 2017 with the back of an ominous blonde woman (and again in a video on Feb 2, 2018).
His face doesn’t appear in her instagram until she posts that same photo, so it’s clear there was some sort of agreement that that’s when they were to go public.
Whether or not they started their relationship while he was still married is still a puzzle (my guess…. probably). However this is one chapter in Vanderpump Rules history we can finally close. We’re simultaneously better and worse off for having solved it, and we may now openly judge them in peace.
Now one more Instagram for the road, him and Martin Scorsese…. wtf.
