News just broke that D.B. Weiss and David Benioff (best known for creating the Game of Thrones TV show, and the latter known for having cheekbones that could cut glass) are going to be writing and producing a new Star Wars series. It’ll be independent of Rian Johnson’s as well as the Skywalker saga.
I still maintain that their best piece of writing will always be the Flowers for Charlie episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Strangely I’m more excited by this announcement than I was at 99.9% of the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer. The one part of the trailer I was excited for? Lando Calrissian. Duh.
