She leads a cast of John Boyega, Will Poulter, Algee Smith, Jacob Latimore, Jason Mitchell, Hannah Murray, Jack Reynor, John Krasinski, Anthony Mackie and more in the retelling of the Algiers Motel incident in Detroit in 1967. The content of the story probably carries it more than the direction, but the story itself is worth witnessing. It’s sad that it’s 50 years since the incident and we haven’t come far.
