While I didn’t get to go into an extensive review of “Swiss Army Man” on the air, I highly recommend this film. It’s quirky (and not in an annoying way), charming, and unique. While it may not be for everyone, as it requires a fair amount of suspension of disbelief, I think those who do take a gamble on it will enjoy it.
It’s a better, or at least deeper, “bromance” than say “Central Intelligence” was, and the relationship between Paul Dano as “Hank” and Daniel Radcliffe as “Manny” is delightful.
The film does get a bit juvenile at times but that’s because it’s exploring themes of growing up and transitioning out of adolescence. About finding that path out of arrested development.
The music and the visuals of the film are beyond endearing, and the overall sincerity of the film and filmmakers really shines through.
