Review: Spider-Man: Far From Home (Spoiler Free) and Midsommar

Slinging in to theaters is the 11th appearance of a Spider-Man on film in the last 17 years (and yet he keeps getting younger…) in “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and Ari Aster’s horror suspense thriller “Midsommar.”

Spidey is back and post Endgame consequences. This time he’s traversing through Europe with his classmates and an acTOR-y Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jacob Batalon, Samuel L. Jackson, Marisa Tomei, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, and Martin Starr star.

Meanwhile Ari Aster continues his reign of horror (though I’d call this more just suspense) with “Midsommar” – his follow up to “Hereditary.” If you’re a fan of “The Wicker Man” you’ll probably like this film. Florence Pugh, Will Poulter, William Jackson Harper, Jack Reynor, and Vilhelm Blomgren star.
