Suburbicon is a dumpster fire of squandered potential. In spite of having the Coen brothers as writers, and George Clooney as the director, Suburbicon manages to bore and repulse. Set against the backdrop of a fictional suburbia (literally called Suburbicon) that is 99.9% White, the film takes a simultaneously ham fisted, and yet too subtle swing at highlighting blindness towards race.
