Unfortunately even the great Emma Thompson can’t stretch George Michael’s Christmas song into a feature length film.
In spite of the charming cast of Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh, and Thompson herself (as well as the directing efforts of Paul Feig), “Last Christmas” is a convoluted bizarro mess. I went in expecting “Love, Actually” and left wanting to heal the pain.
