Review: Sonic the Hedgehog and Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Turns out the “Sonic the Hedgehog” movie isn’t as much of a train wreck as one would think, and “Portrait of a Lady on Fire” is one of the best films you’ll see this year.

In spite of a teeth-tastic disaster first trailer, “Sonic the Hedgehog” pulled its act together to be a pretty fun family film (but if you aren’t a gamer or seeing it with a family this may not be for you). Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Adam Pally, and Tika Sumpter star.

After “Parasite’s” Oscar win hopefully people will be more open to non-English language cinema, because if they are they’ll go see “Portrait of a Lady on Fire” which is a gorgeous love story set in 18th century Brittany about love and art. Celine Sciamma directs, Adele Haenel, Noemie Merlant, and Luana Bajrami star.
