This week brings one of the best superhero films of the year, “Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse” and the catastrophic “Mortal Engines” from Peter Jackson.
Spiderverse just might be my favorite Spider-Man film of all time. The animated film from Sony brings us Miles Morales’ story in a refreshing update to an origins story. Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Nic Cage, Lily Tomlin, Lauren Velez, John Mulaney, Kimiko Glenn, and Chris Pine star.
Meanwhile Peter Jackson and co are back with a disastrously bad steampunk action film about: cities on wheels. Yes you read that right. Hugo Weaving, Stephen Lang, Robert Sheehan, and Hera Hilmarsdóttir star.
