This week brings the third Jason Reitman/Diablo Cody collaboration, “Tully”, the criminal thriller “Bad Samaritan” and the “Overboard” remake. “Tully” stars Charlize Theron as a mom trying her best to make things work. It also stars Ron Livingston, Mackenzie Davis, and Mark Duplass. It serves as a sort of bookend for the trilogy of tales by Cody/Reitman.
“Bad Samaritan” is the David Tennant / Robert Sheehan thriller about criminals picking on the wrong criminal. It’s directed by Dean Devlin.
Finally there’s “Overboard” starring Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris. It’s a remake of the Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell film but gender swapped. It’s got some issues. It also stars Eva Longoria, John Hannah, Swoosie Kurtz, Josh Segarra and Mel Rodriguez.
