This week “Venom” gets his own film (whether or not that’s a good thing is debatable) and “A Star is Born” gets yet another remake.
Venom stars Tom Hardy (seriously… are there only like 20 actors total who are allowed to be in comic book movies?) Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, and Jenny Slate. What it was about the script that made them all agree to do this I’m not sure.
Meanwhile we get another remake of “A Star is Born” with Bradley Cooper (who also directs) and Lady Gaga. Gaga carries the movie for sure and yes this is going to at least make an awards bid. While I agree she probably deserves some accolades I’m not sure if he does. Sam Elliott, Dave Chappelle, Andrew Dice Clay and Shangela also star.
