REVIEW: “VOX LUX” AND “BLACKKKLANSMAN”

This week brings the Natalie Portman vehicle “Vox Lux” and a long overdue review of Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman.”

Don’t be fooled by the publicity imagery of “Vox Lux” it’s no “Black Swan” though it does feature Natalie Portman dancing (just far less elegantly). Sadly her talents are somewhat squandered in this film, though Raffey Cassidy who plays a younger version of her shines. Jude Law also stars, SIA composed the music.

I also bring a much belated review of the fantastic “BlacKkKlansman” which is unfortunately as timely now as it was earlier in the summer. Spike Lee’s latest joint brews a quiet rage. John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier, and Topher Grace star.
